FOLIAGE | Needle evergreen. Very soft textured appearance. |

GROWING CONDITIONS | Full Sun. Well-drained, dry location. |
FAVORITE CULTIVARS | ‘Shalimar’ with blue-green needle color, supposedly superior to ‘Kashmir’, though ‘Kashmir’ may be easier to find. ‘Electra Blue’ for a more intense blue hue. ‘Aurea’ has golden variegation. ‘Prostrata’ is an excellent dwarf form staying below 3’ ht, but can spread to 8 ft or more. |
NOTES | Somewhat Deer Resistant. Note the difference in the 2 photos of Cedrus deodora ‘Prostrata’. Both were sold under the same name, but the habit is considerably different. At least ask for a photo before you purchase. |
