SIZE
Vine growing 20-30’ HT, or more, 6-9’ SP. Able to attach itself to a wall or fence. Some folks like to grow it on a tree, but it’s best to keep the height below the branches. You will probably need professional help for this.
FOLIAGE
Medium green with beautifully articulated veination. Turns yellow in the fall.
FLOWER
White, flat-topped cyme, 8-10”W with showy white sepals around the perimeter. Flowers last considerably longer than those of the Climbing Hydrangea, and it flowers after the Climbing Hydrangea is done – usually June-July.
GROWING CONDITIONS
Part Shade – Full Shade. Will thrive in a variety of soils.
NOTES
Favorite cultivars…
’Moonlight’ has blue green leaves with a silvery overlay, and large white flowers.
‘Roseum’ has rose flushed sepals around the perimeter of the flowers.
